I’ve been playing with the Exit Strategy NYC app and it’s really quite great. The above screenshot is what train I take to work and it’s true, I do try and make sure I’m in car #2 although I hadn’t taken notice

For my NYC readers: my boyfriend (bdotdub) just helped develop and launch a new iPhone app called Exit Strategy NYC. It shows you where to stand on the subway to arrive at your exit, shaving minutes off your commute time. They’ve been working on it for a few months now and it just launched yesterday at midnight and already it’s been covered in the NYTimes Cityroom blog, NYMag, AMNY, Village Voice and tons of blogs/tumblrs/twitter pages. Jonathan and Ashley Wegener (the brother-sister founding duo of the app) literally traveled the subway non stop for weeks to navigate and find the best exit strategies for those tricky lines like the A/C/E. Check it out in the app store, though it’s also available for the Android, Blackberry, aaaannddd the Kindle!
All this convenience for less than the cost of a subway ride…!
